HURRAY FOR KAMALA HARRIS !!!!
In addition to delivering a fantastic debate performance Vice President Kamala Harris has all the qualities to be a fantastic President. She is very experienced as the Attorney General for California, as a Senator and as a Vice President. In her debate with Mr. Trump, she showed that that she really understands the issues facing the American people. She kept coming back to the challenges of middle-class families and how she would help meet them. Her composure and sense of humor all through the debate were as delightful as they were obvious.
It is high time we had a woman President, a highly politically experienced person who represents several different minorities: women, Blacks, Asians, interracial and middle-class folks. As Vice-President she has travelled and met with world’s leaders; as Prosecutor she has jailed criminals and fought on behalf of women, migrants and indigent persons; and as a highly educated politician she is showing that she can take on those who strive to dominate the American people. With the support of President Biden and the Democratic Party, Kamala Harris will make a marvelous, yet realistic President.
So, let’s all get out there and do whatever we can to put our country back on track to lead the world against tyrannical leaders and world-threatening issues. Our new leaders will need all the help they can get. Democracy is on the line.

I agree that Harris is a very well qualified candidate for the presidency! What sane person could vote for Trump anyway?!

Can’t agree more, though I think we need to see a good strategy for solving immigration problems besides just saying things like “We all need to just get along and tolerate difference.” As Douglas Murray has pointed out, it was great to get the benefit of middle eastern restaurants from middle eastern immigrants. But how many immigrants do you take in before that benefit is lost in a sea of millions and millions of people who are shifting the cultural reality of the liberal democracy of America? Did you know that 7 major cities of England have declared themselves Islamic districts under Sharia law? We are a multi-cultural, unilinguistic society: but now these cultures are not in miscible relation to the America of 1900. They are setting up to run side-by-side in territorial competition with all others. This will likely create linguisitic changes as well, such as some areas being declared Spanish speaking. Such fracture lines in American society will bring the democracy we cherish to an end. So more thinking has to be done concerning how immigrants are integrated into American society, because that integration obviously doesn’t happen automatically. You have certainly seen this on the southern border, but consider as well the China towns of the major cities of America–the Korea towns, Japan towns, the Polish area of Chicago and Milwaukee, Pittsburgh. Retraction and self-enclosure is the rule. How do we invite immigrants into American society with its unique political values under such conditions, especially when overwhelming numbers rush in?
